I really liked that Kraeuter emphasized reading the bible in order to be spiritually mature. I think that reading God's word is something that immature Christians easily neglect to do. But once you start making a habit of reading, you can see a significant difference in our relationship with God. It's also important to have other mature Christians keep us accountable. That way, they can make sure you are being consistent with your bible reading.

Chapter 8 of Keys to Becoming an Effective Worship Leader
Chapter 8 of Keys to Becoming an Effective Worship Leader talks about the importance of being a mature worship leader. Kraeuter gives us a common situation seen in the church about how an immature Christian is given a leadership position in the church. He says this is not good because that leader will start having a negative influence on the church body. Kraeuter says that worship leaders should not just have musical talent, but also be spiritually mature. He says that it's important to study God's word and have people keep you accountable.

What you said made a lot of sense. I agree that reading he bible is key to gaining spiritual maturity. Reading the bible is beyond important. Overall I agree with what you wrote about.
ReplyDeleteHaving an immature Christian lead people into worship defiantly can have a negative affect on everyone. People need to be able to come and to them and see them as an example to be like.
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you talked about the chuches body and the influences we have. I also liked how you built your whole idea off of kraeuter and his ideals. It really fit well with your analysis!
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you said about having other Christians around to keep us responsible. It is harder to do the right thing when you won't be held accountable for your actions.
ReplyDeleteYou make very good points but your views would be more agreeable if you used stronger vocabulary as the current word choices may seem elementary to some readers
ReplyDeleteBeing constantly plugged into the word will contrite and grow your relationship with Gid as well as your spiritual maturity that follows by your actions. As Christians we need to keep other Christians in line with what the word says.
